SSC CHSL Exam Date Application Status: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination on 6th December 2022 and the application closing date is 4 Jan 2023.

The exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the various posts in the Government of India departments and ministries. The SSC CHSL exam is conducted in three tiers. The Tier-I exam is a computer-based test. Tier II is a descriptive exam and Tier III is a skill test. The exam is open for both graduates and non-graduates. SSC CHSl Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for various clerical posts in departments of the Central Government of India.

The exam is in three levels:

  • Tier I (Computer-Based Examination),
  • Tier II (Descriptive Paper), and Tier III (Skill Test/ Typing Test).
  • Tier I (Computer Based Examination): The Tier I Exam consists of four sections viz. General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

The exam is conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and consists of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions with a total time duration of 75 minutes. Each correct answer carries 1 mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

Tier II (Descriptive Paper): The Tier II Exam consists of one paper, i.e., English Language & Comprehension. The paper is conducted in a descriptive type format and consists of a total of 200 marks. The paper is of a total time duration of 1 hour.

Tier III (Skill Test/ Typing Test): This is the final stage of the exam and consists of a skill/ typing test. The skill test is conducted to assess the candidate’s typing speed and accuracy. The skill test is conducted in two formats viz. Computer Based Test (CBT) or Offline Test (PBT). The typing test is conducted to assess the candidate’s typing speed and accuracy. The typing test is of a total time duration of 10 minutes and consists of a total of 35 words per minute (WPM) for English and 30 WPM for Hindi.

The final selection of the candidate is based on their performance in all three stages of the exam.

SSC CHSL Exam Date 2023

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has yet to announce the official dates for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam 2023.

The SSC CHSL Exam is conducted every year to recruit candidates for various posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA) or Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

The SSC CHSL exam notification was released on 6 December 2022. Candidates who are interested in applying for the exam must keep a track of the official website of SSC for the latest updates.
